Terms of Service
Last updated: October 31, 2026
These Terms of Service govern your use of PartyCovered. By creating an account, you agree to them.
1. What PartyCovered Is
PartyCovered is a marketplace that connects clients planning events with vendors offering party and event services (DJs, catering, rentals, entertainment, and more). PartyCovered is not a party to any booking — the contract for services is between the client and the vendor. PartyCovered does not itself provide, own, or control the services listed. PartyCovered collects payments for bookings only as the vendor's limited payment collection agent, as described in Section 5. PartyCovered is a trade name of Lama Tech Innovations LLC, a Florida limited liability company.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By creating an account, you confirm that you are 18 or older and that the information you provide is accurate.
3. Accounts
You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Let us know right away if you believe your account has been compromised.
4. Booking Requests
A booking request isn't confirmed until the vendor accepts it. Either party can decline a request. An accepted booking can be cancelled under the rules in Section 6. Some listings involve a deposit (non-refundable if the client cancels) or an equipment rental waiver, both of which are disclosed and must be agreed to before a request can be sent.
5. Fees
PartyCovered makes money from two fees on each booking: a service fee paid by the client and a commission paid by the vendor. There are no listing, membership, subscription, or lead fees for clients or vendors. These fees are charges for using PartyCovered; they are not taxes.
Client service fee (7%). The client pays a service fee equal to 7% of the vendor's price, on top of that price. The fee is added to each amount charged to the client for the booking price: the deposit, charged when the vendor accepts, and the remaining balance, which is placed on hold on the client's card about 3 days before the event and charged when the vendor checks in at the event. Each charge is rounded to the nearest cent. The service fee and the total including it are shown before the client sends a booking request. No service fee is added to late-cancellation fees or to charges for damage, loss, or theft.
Vendor commission (3%). The vendor pays PartyCovered a commission of 3% of the deposit and the remaining balance they earn through PartyCovered, taken out before that amount is sent to the vendor. The commission is calculated separately on the deposit and on the remaining balance, each rounded to the nearest cent. No commission is taken from late-cancellation fees or damage reimbursements; those are passed to the vendor in full. For example, on a $1,000 booking with a $200 deposit, the client pays $214 when the vendor accepts and $856 at the event, $1,070 in total ($1,000 plus the $70 service fee), and the vendor receives $194 from the deposit and $776 from the remaining balance, $970 in total ($1,000 minus the $30 commission). The vendor dashboard shows the amount the vendor will receive.
Damage reimbursements. If a vendor reports damage to, or loss or theft of, rented equipment, PartyCovered reviews the claim. An approved claim can only be charged through PartyCovered from a hold on the client's card for that booking that is still in place, and the full approved amount is passed to the vendor. Any approved amount that can't be collected that way is owed by the client directly to the vendor under the Equipment Rental Waiver. A booking deposit is a non-refundable reservation deposit, not a security deposit, and is not used to cover damage.
Payment processing. Payments are processed by Stripe. Each vendor appoints PartyCovered as its limited payment collection agent to accept payments from clients on the vendor's behalf. A client's payment to PartyCovered satisfies the client's obligation to pay the vendor for that amount. PartyCovered sends the vendor's share to the vendor's Stripe account, which the vendor sets up through PartyCovered and which is also subject to Stripe's own terms. Stripe's card processing costs are paid by PartyCovered out of its fees; they are not added to what clients pay or deducted from what vendors receive.
Vendor payouts. A vendor must set up payouts and add a backup card before they can accept a booking. The deposit, minus the commission, is sent to the vendor's Stripe account as soon as they accept. Until a vendor has completed two bookings, the deposit for each upcoming event stays in the vendor's Stripe account and can't be paid out to their bank or debit card until 2 days before that event; after that, deposits can be paid out right away. A booking counts as completed once its remaining balance has been paid out to the vendor. A deposit PartyCovered is still holding from a booking accepted before this requirement is sent, minus the commission, automatically once the vendor has finished both steps. After the vendor marks a booking completed, the remaining balance, minus the commission, is sent to the vendor when the client confirms the booking was completed, or automatically if the client hasn't confirmed or reported a problem within 2 days after the last date of the event. An open problem report holds the payout until PartyCovered resolves it. If a client disputes a charge with their card issuer, the related vendor payout is paused until the dispute is resolved, and a dispute that is lost is charged back to the vendor. If a refund or a lost dispute leaves a vendor's Stripe balance below zero, Stripe may debit the vendor's bank account for the difference. Late-cancellation fees and approved damage charges are sent to the vendor in full once they're collected and the vendor has set up payouts. PartyCovered pays out what's available in a vendor's Stripe account to their bank once a day. Money from a card payment becomes available once the payment settles, usually about 2 business days after the charge.
Instant payouts. Vendors can cash out eligible funds to a debit card within minutes instead of waiting for a standard payout. An instant payout has a fee of 1% of the amount cashed out, which covers the cost of the instant transfer. Standard payouts are free. Deposits still held under the rule above can't be cashed out early.
Refunds and fees. If a vendor cancels an accepted booking, the client is refunded everything they paid for it, including the deposit and the service fee, and any hold on the client's card is released. No other cancellation fee is owed by either party. Any amount already sent to the vendor for that booking is reversed from the vendor's Stripe balance. For a deposit that can't be reversed, PartyCovered charges the vendor's backup card as described in Section 6. The vendor is only charged back what they actually received after the commission, and no commission is kept on a booking the vendor cancels. If a client cancels, the deposit and the service fee charged with it are non-refundable, as described in Section 6.
Taxes. Each vendor is responsible for taxes on the income they receive through PartyCovered. Where the law requires PartyCovered to collect sales tax on a booking, it will be shown at checkout.
6. Cancellations and Deposits
Deposits. If a listing has a deposit, it is charged to the client, plus the 7% service fee, the moment the vendor accepts the booking, and the deposit, minus the commission, is sent to the vendor's Stripe account at the same time. That's why a vendor must set up payouts and add a backup card before they can accept a booking. If the client later cancels, the deposit and the service fee charged with it are non-refundable, since the deposit compensates the vendor for reserving the date.
Late cancellation by the client. If a client cancels an accepted booking 7 or more days before the event date, nothing is charged beyond the deposit, and any hold on their card is released. If the client cancels less than 7 days before the event date, they also pay a late-cancellation fee of 10% of the booking price (the vendor's price, not including the service fee). No service fee is added to it. If there is a hold on the client's card for the remaining balance, the fee is taken from that hold, up to the amount of the hold, and the rest of the hold is released. If there is no hold on the card at that time, the fee is charged to the client's saved payment method when they cancel. If it can't be charged (for example, because the card is declined), the fee is still owed to the vendor. The fee is passed to the vendor in full, with no commission. Days are counted by calendar date in U.S. Eastern Time. A client can't cancel a booking once the vendor has checked in at the event. See the Equipment Rental Waiver and Booking Deposit Agreement for the specific terms of a given booking.
Cancellation by the vendor. If a vendor cancels an accepted booking, the client is refunded in full as described in Section 5. If the vendor already received the deposit, PartyCovered will recover it from the vendor — first by reversing it from their Stripe balance, and, if that isn't possible (for example, because it was already paid out to their bank), by charging the backup card the vendor provided for this purpose — so that the client can always be made whole. By adding a backup card as a vendor, you authorize PartyCovered to charge it under these circumstances.
7. Vendor Responsibilities
Vendors are independent providers, not employees or agents of PartyCovered. Vendors are responsible for the quality, safety, and legality of the services and equipment they offer, for carrying any insurance or licenses their work requires, and for the condition of any equipment they rent out.
If you offer a service in a category we mark as requiring licensing or insurance, you must confirm, before the listing can be booked, that you hold every required license and permit and carry active liability insurance for that service. We record that confirmation. It's your responsibility to keep it true; if it stops being true, you must stop offering the service.
8. Client Responsibilities
Clients are responsible for providing accurate event details, for the condition of any rented equipment while it's in their possession (as described in the Equipment Rental Waiver, where applicable), and for paying for services as agreed with the vendor.
9. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to: misrepresent your identity or qualifications; use the app to harass, threaten, or discriminate against another user; post false reviews; attempt to circumvent the platform to avoid its policies or fees; or use the app for any unlawful purpose.
This includes, without limitation, using PartyCovered to solicit, offer, advertise, or arrange commercial sexual services (including prostitution) of any kind; to facilitate human trafficking or exploitation of any person, especially a minor; to buy, sell, or arrange illegal drugs or weapons; or for any other criminal activity under applicable law. This conduct is never permitted for any reason, regardless of how it's described in a listing, message, or booking.
If we become aware of a violation of this kind, we may immediately suspend or terminate the account involved without prior notice, withhold any funds associated with the account pending investigation, and report the conduct to law enforcement. Reported issues generally are reviewed by our team, but we reserve the right to act immediately, before review, when a report or our own monitoring indicates a risk like the ones described above.
10. Content You Submit
You retain ownership of the photos, videos, reviews, and other content you post. By posting it, you grant PartyCovered a license to display it within the app for the purpose of operating the marketplace. You're responsible for making sure you have the rights to anything you upload.
11. Reviews
Reviews should reflect a genuine experience with the other party from a real booking. We may remove reviews that violate this or our other policies.
12. Disclaimers
PartyCovered is provided "as is." We don't guarantee that any vendor will be available, that a service will meet your expectations, or that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free. PartyCovered does not inspect, own, or insure any equipment or service listed on the platform.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, PartyCovered is not liable for disputes between clients and vendors, for the quality or safety of services rendered, or for any damage, injury, or loss arising from a booking. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the service fees and commissions you paid PartyCovered in the twelve months before the claim.
14. Account Termination
You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete Account. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms, engages in fraud, or puts other users at risk.
15. Changes to These Terms
When we make material changes to these terms, we'll update the 'Last updated' date and ask you to review and accept the new version before you can keep using booking features.
